Debate over for the day, reconvening tomorrow. Got hardly anything done in over twelve hours; what's to be expected tomorrow?

hopefully about the same thing. Hoping it gets so bogged down that they get sick of it and just drop the whole bill. Will defiantly be calling my representatives again and telling them to do there job and actually work for the people that got them voted in, in the first place.

From Rep. Zoe Lofgren (D-CA), one of the champions of the fight against this bill. You guys need to do one or the other, please. It's imperative to saving sites like Racketboy.

already emailed one, it is 11 am where I live so probably to late to call them. Together we can do this, because this is a country built by the people for the people, not a country built by the people for the corporations.

I've e-mailed both of my representatives previously and called Ron Kind yesterday. I will not tolerate this bullshit.

when is a good time to try to call a representative, did he actually answer or was it his assistant. I have never called a government official before so I do not know how it works. Already told all my friends on facebook.

I got an assistant, but they notice if a lot of people call in about something. It's pretty unlikely that you'll actually get to talk to your rep, but maybe you'll get lucky! You should probably call between 7 AM and 5 PM when there are people in the offices.

Thanks, I do not get why they do not have the American people vote in it, This is a Democracy and this is a bill that will effect all Americans. Probably because they know it will not pass(as I wright this I am listening to game music on youtube while I can before it is gone)

It's not a democracy, it's a constitutional republic.

I am pretty sure that if this ridiculous bill were allowed to pass the House, the Senate, and the President's office that it would be shot down by the courts when it gets challenged. There seems to be some pretty obvious free speech violations included in it.

(cue Hatta's conspiracy talk and Izzy's judge bribing accusations  )
