Somehow I think having a yellow cat monster float towards me and tell me that he wished he were a bird would be a more traumatic event.

Here's a video of the character I mentioned: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SFntkIQfRLA

Burning rangers (really? this looked kinda dumb.. is it fun?)
Earthworm Jim 2. Is this worth it if i have the genesis version?
Shinobi Legions .. this seems to be a polarizing game. Some people say its awesome some people say it sucks. Whats so different about it?
Clockwork Knight .. i heard the first game was kinda meh, but the 2nd is decent. What is it an action platformer? thats what it appears to be

Just to address a few of these.

Burning Rangers is a really fun game, it's made by Sonic Team, yes it looks dumb, but it's classic SEGA weirdness. The levels are randomly generated, and the graphics are some of the best on the Saturn, they even got transparencies down. It runs on the NiGHTS engine.

Earthworm Jim 2 is worth it if you love Earthworm Jim, it's the best version of the game, and they really outdid themselves with the art and music. I'm not sure there are any differences between the Saturn and PS1 versions, but the Saturn controller is far better for pretty much anything 2D: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ByVPTBpbzPs

I've only played a little of Shinobi Legends and I thought it was pretty good. I remember thinking 3 was still better.

Clockwork Knight is an interesting one, as I have mixed feelings of it. I had the art style and music, but the game is actually a solid platformer, and IIRC, the 2nd one is way easier, which is a good thing because the first one is a pain in the ass.

Anyways, other cheap titles you should look for:

Sonic 3D Blast: The graphics and music really come alive in the Saturn version, and with the 3D pad the control isn't awkward either.

Street Fighter Alpha 2: A good display of the Saturn's 2D power, and is nice and cheap.

Quake: This one is very surprising, the artwork was all redone for the Saturn version and it gives off a very gothic vibe, I wish I could find a mod pack to make the PC version look like the Saturn. Beyond that, it plays really well, even if the framerate drops a bit here and there.

Fighters Megamix: The best bang for your buck (or just the plain best) 3D fighter on the Saturn, it combines both Virtua Fighter and Fighting Vipers characters, and levels, into one awesome game. It doesn't feel imbalanced either, and you can choose your preferred fighting method (Vipers or Virtua).

It's too bad you don't like shooters, because there are so many on the Saturn that are really really good.

^Agreed on most everything above.

Also, - Earthworm Jim PSX, have you played it? I've never seen gameplay of it, if i'm not mistaken it was a PAL exclusive, and limited at that. But i'm quite certain the SAT version would've been better than anything on playstation at any rate.
