I always look to Gilbert Gottfried at times like this:

"I refuse to joke about Steve Jobs. One, because you're expecting it. Two, because I'm a good friend of his brother Blow. RIP Steve Jobs."

In all seriousness, I am a recent Apple convert (iPhone last summer and iPad/MacBook this summer), and so I am sad to see him go. His enthusiasm for the technology he developed was infectious and genuine, and his story is inspirational.

Oh, lord!

I'll be honest, I laughed when I saw this a week after Cory Lidle died:

Nothing's sacred.

As I type this on the MAC that has allowed me to peruse video editing, and discover my passion for film making, I honor the immense amount of energy Steve Jobs has put into the world.

The tech industry would not have been this enormous without his vast ingenuity. He will continue to inspire future generations, and remain a profound figure in global history.

He was a man with a laundry list of impressive accomplishments. I'll play a little Breakout in his honor tonight.

I've never bought an Apple product, but I can appreciate that the PC I use today is like it is because of his stuff. I'm thankful for that at least.

This made the geeks in my office realize that we're going to see the deaths of all the big name computer founders, like Bill Gates, before it's our turn. Kind of an odd feeling for a bunch of computer nerds.
