I doubt ill ever get laid based on the clothing i wear lol, what a bunch of bullshit but so true, dating someone for there personality is bullshit.Luke wrote:It's when you put clothes on your body to either get laid or make a statement.dsheinem wrote:"fashion"?
The most common statements are: "I'm 40 but think I'm 20", "Please pay attention to me", and my personal favorite "I'm a super non-conformist and therefor dress like every other super non-conformist making me actually a walking billboard for conformity (and hot topic)".
I guess the statement I make is "Straight guys can wear J.Crew and Banana Republic too!". That or "Shut up. Maybe my wife does pick out my clothes, wannafideaboudit?"

If someone asks, "So tell me about your date?", the worst response is always "Well, she had a great personality".

I always figured something like "She was annoying as hell and threw up on me" would be the worst.

I don't have one. Seriously, I'm an aspie and as much as love to get interested in creating an outrageous image I often miss the mark. My wife helps me pick things that match

Mines not up there.... boots, jeans, and either a tshirt or pearl snap. Nothing else, except on weddings and funerals I wear my jacket.

A pearl snap shirt. Instead of buttons, you have snaps, usually covered in something pearl covered. (Used to always use pearl, nowadays its usually just smooth plastic.)

This sounds almost exactly like me.BoringSupreez wrote:Normally, I'm Average Joe, but I like to wear nerdy clothes when I can. Can't afford to buy nerd clothes too often though.
And I hate shorts. I wear pants all year long, no matter the weather.

Re: Whats your fashion sense ?
I dressed fairly grungy a few years back. I had hair down past my shoulders; wore clothes in either neutral or vaguely sickly-looking colors; the same few sweaters, thermals, and flannels; let fabrics come unraveled; cargo pants after they'd long gone out of style; lots of things tied to my wrists. I wore alot of band shirts, too -- home-made Circle Jerks, Minor Threat, and Flipper shirts. I'd wear brighter, nerdier stuff here and there, too -- Ninja Turtles and Power Rangers shirts, as well as my home-made Sega shirt.
After that my high-school did this shitty Standard School Attire thing where we had to wear "dressy" clothes all the time. Members of my family bought alot of stuff from American Eagle, which I've never quite been comfortable with, but everyone agrees that the clothes look really good on me. Girls would pretty much openly sexually harass me after I started wearing the stuff because apparently I have a nice ass, so I guess that's what my family meant by the clothes "fitting me well".
Now that I'm in college, I still get all this American Eagle stuff from family. So, despite my never giving American Eagle a dime I look like I'm a fanatic for them or something. I balance it out by still wearing alot of neutrals, home-made band shirts, thrift-store flannels, and bandanna bracelets though.
So... would that be "Average" or "Grunge"?
