I had thought about playing a run through the playoffs, but I don't have the patience for it this month.
The game is still one of the best of the era, but it hasn't aged exceptionally well beyond the pitching mechanics. Still, I am glad to be playing it as it represents something of a pinnacle of 2D baseball games.

Re: Together Retro: World Series Baseball '95
So what kind of ideas do you guys have for future sports-themed months?
I was thinking of a few:
Baseball Stars (multiple console options and re-releases + handheld alternative)
NBA Live '95 (multiple consoles and also on NBA Live '06 release)
Virtua Tennis
NFL 2K (can go dreamcast titles or popular NFL2k5)
Dusty Diamond All-Star Softball (ok, just kidding - but this one is fun)

I'd be down with either Baseball Stars or Virtua Tennis
