Right now, I think we should do 4 tracks every 3 week instead of 3 tracks every two weeks.
New Site Feature: Overlooked Music Mix
You were talking about giving up on it, so I figured spreading it out would be a better compromise.Mozgus wrote:Why?racketboy wrote:We'll give this thing another try -- this time with a Halloween-flavored 4-track installment:

Having it slightly less often, but with one extra track would hopefully bring more appreciation and value to each post.
I'm open to other ideas though...

It wasn't the frequency that made me think of stopping, you realize. I don't think spreading them out more would give them more interest, but it's your site and if you don't want it to be flooded with these, thats fine.racketboy wrote:You were talking about giving up on it, so I figured spreading it out would be a better compromise.Mozgus wrote:Why?racketboy wrote:We'll give this thing another try -- this time with a Halloween-flavored 4-track installment:

I know what you're saying, but I do think it would help. I'm also cutting back on the frequency of my art posts even though most of them have been pretty popular (I still get a ton of StumbleUpon traffic from the Zelda, Metroid, and sometimes even the JSR ones). I want to keep having both, but since I'm only posting other articles every two or three days, I don't want it to seem like a good chunk of the posts are only Art and MusicMozgus wrote:It wasn't the frequency that made me think of stopping, you realize. Hey guys, I've finally got the time to return and start posting here again. ^_^
I'm still yet to download the songs from the last article. But I think whats been on their so far is really good. I especially liked the GTA 3 - Ganster Friday. I guess more retro tracks would suit the site better but I think that most people are fine with whats up ATM.
As for the frequency I agree with RB here. Theres been quite a few of both the artwork and music posts lately. It would be better for both features if they were spread out a little more.
Also if you need any suggestions for the artwork posts then drop me an email RB.

It was GTA1, not 3. I'm guessing I was referring to you when I said:Daniel Primed wrote:Hey guys, I've finally got the time to return and start posting here again. ^_^

Isn’t it funny how so many GTA3 fans have never tried the prior titles? Some of them don’t even realize they exist, as if that big roman numeral 3 on the cover of GTA3 wasn’t already a clear hint.

A sugestion: The game Crue Ball is an awesome Genesis game on its own, and my favorite pinball game of all time. Its soundtrack obviously has licenced tunes, but the game is mostly made of music composed by EA. Songs like these get overlooked a lot of the time, but the original tune "Twisted Flipper" is a standout. One of the best rock songs in the 16 bit era. I'll see if I can get the song.
