The wiki was updated to mention this already. It's the very last sentence on the page.
Thank you, but they still fail to mention that you may run into difficulty when returning a "gutted" game -- if the manager is nice, they'll let it slide. If they are obeying store policy to the letter.. well, winds and brunoafh put it better.
You shouldn't have difficulty returning a gutted game if you did not take off the clear sticker they put on the case when buying a gutted copy. If you ever buy a gutted game, which you shouldn't, make sure the associate places one of the stickers on the case so there will be no problems.

They read this thread and realized it was either illegal or the dumbest thing ever, or both.

Sometimes it's hard to remember gamestop even has PC games.
Since this signature affects old posts, I'm leaving a message here in case anyone searches for my username. This account died in early 2013. I am no longer a fundamentalist.

Don't add to my problems by pretending my past views are still held in the present. I do not have any patience for that. Feel free to ask me what I think now.

Companies now a days have no respect. If you're going to sell a game as new it should come with all the contents listed, and be sealed. Good thing I have other non-chain game stores around my house.

I didn't realize it 'til I read this thread...
