Yeah, it looks like this isn't coming out in the US. No official word from Sega, but possible insiders are dropping pretty heavy hints to go ahead and import the JP version in the NeoGAF thread. Again, nothing's being said outright. Just reading between the lines.

I'm pre-ordered at AmiAmi. Can't wait! Having so much fun with the demo to this day. Full game should be amazing.

I think 1Q of 2013 is a great release date if you think about it. If this game has any chance to sell well, it cannot be released this year. 2012 is already flooded with other fighting titles on the way!

I disagree. I think 2013 is a horrible time to release it. It will be drowned by a lot of the other bigger releases that have already been pushed to the same time.

They should stick with the original plan and release it next month. It doesn't have much to compete with until the beginning of September.

Exactly! Same here, especially TTT2 Sega just recently dropped VF5FS! You got TTT2 and DOA 5 dropping back to back. Persona 4 Arena is on the way, Guilty Gear ^Core R is on the horizon, Girl Fight, Phantom Breaker is in August and not to mention every fighter currently out in the market which still gets support from both the community and developers with patches coming up for Skull Girls, Third Strike OE, Soul Calibur 5, SFxT to keep interst going. With so much available on the market, this game can easily get lost in the shuffle. It makes sense for a July release in Japan, but its quite a gamble to release it out here in the states in that same period. I'm giving SEGA the benefit of the doubt and am just real happy the game is getting released out here. I'm patient. I can wait

Hmm, those are all fighting games. AR is an arena brawler. Unless Capcom shocks everyone with Power Stone 3, I think AR would be just fine under a July 2012 release.

Add: Word is that AR is going to be single player with online only multiplayer. No LAN or split screen. I might actually be avoiding this one anyway. :/
