I would offer to help translate the basic store menu real quick but I don't have an account anymore (haven't bothered to sign up for a new JPN one since the whole PSN debacle) so I can't get to it to read it. I'm sure you'll be fine though.
cool.

I already figured out where the goods (and by goods, I mean Japanese PS1 games) are. :D Sometimes I think it would benefit me to take a crash course in reading basic Japanese. Then I remember that would really only benefit me playing games, and there's probably higher priority things I should do with my time. haha.

BTW, I've heard that the Honk Kong PSN is in English and can use JPN PSN cards, though I don't think they have EVERYTHING that the JPN PSN store has.

I'm still not certain.

Originally they said US too, but I've seen no actual date on that. Because its' FF I'm sure it will come to US, but I bet it will be DLC only. I mean it's shipping on 2 UMD's.

After surfing the web looking for an answer, it seems that they don't know if there is a market for this game. I'm guessing that if we get it, it'll be digital distribution only. Not as huge a risk as making 1 million physical copies and selling only 100k.

Have you played the demo yet?

You can download it off the game site. I might have to try it out later today.

yeah I can see that. IF they do make it DLC-only in the US, it would be a lot wiser to just make it one of those PSP games that you can play on yr PS3 as well. I think it would sell really well that way.

From my time with the demo, I can say its definitely the prettiest game on the psp. Combat is pretty simple but fun. A big problem is the summons though, as they dont really feel that powerful, or at least powerful enough to be worth sacrificing a character.
Current systems: Atari 2600[x2], NES(top loader), SNES, N64, Gamecube, Wii, Saturn, Dreamcast, Playstation, PS2, PS2 slim, xbox, xbox 360, Turbografx-16, Game Boy Pocket, Game boy SP[x2], Nintendo DS[x2], Nintendo DSi, Nintendo 3DS, Game Gear, Neo Geo Pocket Color, Wonderswan Color, Neo Geo MVS.

You mean like a Mini? That would be neat. Although, I don't know if that's been done yet with a PSP-specific title, though.

well I meant more like the PSP Remaster series. So you'd have to probably pick -- do I want to buy it for PSP or for PS3?

Ah. Forgot about those.

I downloaded the demo. After bumbling around for 5 minutes I turned it off. I'll give it another shot when I feel a little more patient. It doesn't help that I can't read Japanese. How's that saying go? "It's all Greek to me."

Ah, so what looks like quite possibly the best Final Fantasy this generation might not even come out here? Great.
