I also hate it when people try and attribute political messages to movies/comics/etc that don't actually have any. Like a guy who tried to tell me once that the Raimi Spider-Man movies were 'liberal propaganda'.

All media can be read as political/ideological, and for good reason - people who create media have their own ideas/beliefs/worldview that influences what they create, and all audiences can potentially have their own worldview reinforced or challenged by media. Nothing in life exists or is created in some sort of vacuum devoid of politics...

Another fun fact: Smith signed a few of my comics (which I've given to friends) and when we briefly hung out, he was genuine, and not self-absorbed. I always say you see the truth of a person when he/she has all the money and power they desire. Yes, he recycles jokes more than Rivers, but Smith seems to be (albeit foul mouthed) a good guy and a loyal friend to his friends.

Pick your battles wisely. Looks aren't everything, but if you have seen my wife you'll understand why I let little arguments slide. Marriage is a beautiful thing, and like Internet forum banter, it gets better if you let idiotic arguments go. That said:

As dumb as this sounds. What pushes my berserk button? When people think my female friend and I are a lesbian couple when we're out shopping or eating (food, I swear). I guess I find that more amusing than angering... but STILL!
