Seriously, I've had tears streaming down my cheeks many times on some intense high score runs. Think the same happened a few times with wipeout hd as well.

And the award for best first post goes to...

Beat me to it!

Stick around Bn4, you've got style.

The only game that comes to mind is the ending of Half Life 2 Episode 2. [Spoiler Alert] The end scene at the helicopter and the death of Eli really shocked me. I probably did in FFVII as well but I cant remember a specific part. There was a lot of sad parts in there. I remember actually yelling at a game (Modern Warfare 2) when Shepard betrays Ghost and Roach, But no tears there.

The end of Zelda: Windwaker and Zelda: Twilight Princess made me heavy hearted.

I didn't actually feel sad at any point, but in Half Life 2 I felt really invested in what was going on. I was rooting for the characters and I got really shocked and concerned when a few of them got hurt.

The bad ending for Max Payne 2, which was the first ending I got. I thought it was the only ending. I was happy to find out that wasn't the case

The end of Metal Gear Solid 3

A part of Beyond Good and Evil that is too spoilery to mention

Yeah. The bad endings for Heavy Rain are extremely depressing.

Didn't cry, but was sad when you could only pick between Polonsky or Roebuck to save on World at War.

I cried in tears of joy for a long while at the end of Flower. It was just so overwhelmingly beautiful... I also cried near the beginning of Final Fantasy VII during the cutscene that occurs when you return to Aeris' mother's house after she is kidnapped. Oh, I also cried during pretty much every Phoenix Wright game, as well as at the end of Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box. Finally, I bawled like a baby from the events leading up to and including the "Heaven" dungeon in Persona 4.

Games are most definitely an art if they can evoke such powerful emotions.
