Sega's arcade centers are far less relevant in Japan now than they ever were before. While there are still corner arcades near the train stations they are increasingly stocked with older, cheaper games. Only the biggest arcade centers have the expensive games, and the expensive games are just showpieces for the company, really. Games have truly, even in Japan, moved into the home.

Yeah I think they do it with their Sonic hand held titles as well (which may explain their decent quality :lol: ).

I guess that Sega is finding it more profitable to be a publisher rather than a developer. Would be cool if Sega's devlopement teams left and formed a new company called Ages or something.

And has Probe annoucned any projects yet? If not maybe they will in the upcoming TGS? Very interested to see what they are working on.
