Ok, I took a look at the video and it does look cute and kind of fun - but platformers are all about control mechanics and level design for me. It is something I would love to have a demo to try before plunking down $5. Is there a two level demo or anything?
Yeah, you can download it, its on a timer, or it plays the first 3 levels or so. It will give you the option to buy or just play the demo.
The levels in the beginning might seem a little easy to the more hardcore platformer gamers around here. So we'll add a bit more to the video I reckon, I've already spoken to the other guys about that.
FWIW, you might do well to look at some of the successful 2D platformers of recent years - Super Meat Boy, Braid, N+, etc. - as inspiration for how to market the game to the audience you seek. I am not suggesting you need to borrow their ideas for design (that would be bad), but they all have a distinct angle/gimmick that they can push while marketing and that players can "get" right away while demoing. From the video alone, I don't get that "wow, cool idea" moment I get from those titles.
