My MK46-tottin' Rapid Assault Sergeant First Class may have a few words to say with you... Valor for life! Whoo-Ah!

In all seriousness, I love MAG. I'd likely still be playing it if it weren't for Dat Mahvel.

Downloaded the Motorstorm Apocalypse demo. Was pretty entertaining, but not as fun as I thought it would be. The course in the demo is kind of boring.

Im just hoping that the free PS+ gets me into the Uncharted 3 Beta. It should, unless there are some dumb restrictions.

So if you buy games on discount when you have PSN+, you get to keep those when your subscription expires - right? I understand that you can't keep the free games, but it would seem that discounted games should be allowed since you paid something for them...

Yep, anything you buy on discount is yours to keep forever. As well, free themes and avatars are yours forever. So is free DLC I beleive.

Is there anywhere that provides official confirmation of this? I'd buy a few of the discounted titles during the free PS+ period, and wouldn't want them yanked away when it is over. I have no intention whatsoever of joining PS+ after the "trial".

Yup. I had been thinking of picking up that Killzone 3 map pack, but since it is free for plus members, I have been waiting. I was just curious whether or not I'd be able to keep it afterwards since it was free DLC (instead of a stand alone game).

From the playstation blog:
Q: What happens when my PlayStation Plus subscription ends?

A: The content you have downloaded as part of your PlayStation Plus subscription at no charge is only accessible as long as you are an active subscriber. The exceptions are free themes and avatars, which you will continue to have access to, even if you are no longer a subscriber. Anything you have purchased (even if you purchased it at a discount) will remain available to you even if your subscription ends.

Q: My subscription expired, but I renewed it late. Will I get my content back?

A: Yes you will.

So it doesn't mention keeping free DLC, but I can swear that I saw that somewhere, will keep looking.

EDIT:
Fould it.
Each month there will be dynamic themes, premium avatars and premium game elements/add-ons for you to download and many will be exclusive to PlayStation Plus members only. These are yours to keep forever once you have downloaded them.

Kinda vague, but sounds like DLC to me.

[quote="dsheinem"I understand that you can't keep the free games...[/quote]
Is that true? I haven't looked into Plus much. So... if I pay for a service, that service provides free games that I can download, but then don't continue with the Plus service, I lose the games that I got with the paid service?

That's... lame.

Oh well, I downloaded Sega Rally Arcade Online last night. It's fun. I recently gave my copy of Sega Rally Revo to my uncle, so this is a decent replacement. I just like playing a few tracks here and there anyway, so I have no need for a fully fleshed out game. It does nicely next to Outrun Online in my "racing" folder. ;)
