Ah yes. I forget the world isn't perfect sometimes. Ideally all ac adapters would be regulated to prevent the voltage output from dropping under a load and causing the amps to go flying up. Lots of cheap ac adapter are unregulated it seems. At least that's what Wikipedia says so it must be true.
