I currently use IGN and an Excel sheet to keep track of my gaming collection: games, systems, accessories, etc. I may invest in a new software program such as Collectorz or wait for the game database tool on Racketboy. 8)

I agree with everyone check your local retro game stores, thrift stores, garage/yard sales, or even flea markets. I have found many treasures and gems on the cheap in building up my gaming collection. It's fun to hunt for the classics.

All this talk of cataloging collections inspired me to set up mine of rfgeneration.com. It took me 2 and a half hours, and it would have taken even longer if I had submitted information for all the old, obscure PC games I have that they don't have in their system.
