It's such a fad now to be indifferent to people hating fads. I'm just going to go all the way round and just get into all the fads about liking old fads.

You guys remember alf? He's back, in pog form!

I wonder if the general public would be stupid enough to fall for POGs again.

I mean, yeah, I used to have a huge POG collection. A lot of people did. When most of us look back on it, though...

I wish I had thought of POGs, or could think of something equally stupid that would effectively recreate their success. They required no thought or money to create, yet they were making money hand over fist.

I would have to argue that Sea Monkeys were worse than pogs.

I had sea monkeys once. But our house had that kind of ceiling were it has millions of little tiny spikes, like miniature stalactites, and my parents wanted it gone. So they scraped them all off the ceiling, creating a ton of dust. A lot of it fell in my sea monkey tank, and they all died. To make up for it, my parents bought me the PC version of The Game of Life (the 1998 version.)

Oh god, Crazy Bones haha
I used to think they were really cool, but had no idea what purpose they served other than looking kinda neat and being "collectible" (I think there was some game you played with them?). I'll admit if I found some now for next to nothing I would probably pick them up just to have a couple sitting on my desk.

Freaking POGS.

I used to have bronze colored slammer with a Yin Yang symbol on side, but the main reason I remember it is that it was "spiked" all around the edges. It reminded me of Sonic.
