PS2 advice
Re: PS2 advice
Another plus on the PAL version of ICO is that it's on DVD instead of CD in case your PS2 has issues playing CD based games as many tend to do after time.

Re: PS2 advice
There's no specific trick to it, but it takes a fair amount of adjusting to. Once you master the right stick moves (dodge, sway, backflip), the game becomes much much easier. I've noticed this by letting my friends try the game out, and they usually end up dead almost instantly since the enemies do massive amounts of damage, and they aren't used to using the evasive moves. Once you can strafe around the enemies and sway to avoid attacks consistently, you'll find yourself dying half as much as you were before.jfrost wrote:There's a trick to it, or do you mean people just don't seem able to use it well?

Oh, okay. I'll try it again soon, then. I don't remember exactly, but there are visual cues telling you which direction you should pull if you're close to the enemy, right? I can't quite remember.brunoafh wrote:There's no specific trick to it, but it takes a fair amount of adjusting to. Yeah, for sure. The enemies all but choreograph their moves, so after you've fought them x amount of times, you'll be able to predict where the attack will hit and take them out like nothing. But even after you've mastered all the enemies attack patterns/moves, it's another story when they gang up on you.jfrost wrote:Oh, okay. I'll try it again soon, then. Re: PS2 advice
I was thinking tonight that I don't really own too many (non-3D) platformers for PS2. What's good? Klonoa, right? And what else though?

Re: PS2 advice
Klonoa is great. I would suggest playing the first one in the series either on the ps1 or the wii. The second game was very enjoyable, only slightly below the first.noiseredux wrote:I was thinking tonight that I don't really own too many (non-3D) platformers for PS2. What's good? Klonoa, right?
