I was testing a burnt disc since I dn't own any PS2 imports (yet). One is on its way to me as we speak though.

Hey so I tried your tutorial but with a slim ps2. I blocked off the sensors in my ps2 slim and I have swap magic and freemcboot on my memory card. My problem is that when I load swapmagic.elf with a game already in the drive, it stops spinning as soon as swapmagic loads. I've been using a key shortcut to get to swapmagic before the system loads the game instead. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong and how to fix it. A couple times I got it to play my import but when the game went to a loading screen the disc would start spinning a lot slower and nothing would happen.

Edit1:
Sorry I know this is an old thread, but I saw your video tutorial recently and thought I could get a lot of feedback posting through here.

Edit2:
Just looked at my import disc again, it's a cd and not a dvd so that's probably one of the main problems. It is a ps2 game though and not a ps1 game. I don't get a "but a disc with more toc" notification though or a 'swap to boot disc" or anything like that, the bar at the bottom just says "Select click x for confirm ..." so yeah I'm still not sure if my set up will work with a dvd import.
