Silverhawks was pretty much Thundercats in space. Same animation company, same voice actors.
And some very questionable outfits.
Plus a banjo.

New Trailer:

Awesome!

It's not the Thundercats I remember, but that's okay. Because my older self can better appreciate a more serious take on Thundercats.

When does this thing start? Aside from Young Justice I have so few reasons to watch animation these days

Set to premiere this July: http://www.ontheredcarpet.com/ThunderCa ... ry-8052302

According to this interview, as well as Wikipedia and IMDB, it looks like we'll hear some well known voices (as far as voice actors go.) Larry Kenney, the original voice of Lion-O, will return as Lion-O's dad Claudus. That's pretty neat.

I was thinking the same thing when I saw the bridge blow.

1) Cool new thundercats.

2) Not cool, anime style Lion-O. Lion-O is supposed to be a freaking bad ass. Why oh why must they turn him into a teenager? FFS stop chasing the angst crowed, or it'll backfire like it did in Japan.

3) I love that they actually look like they have fur. In the original it just looked liked skin, and created a lot questions for baby ZeroAX (Cheetara, Sailor Moon and the pink Power Ranger made little boys aware of their sexuality much sooner than previous generations)

4) At first I was ready to call it shit, cause the Thundercats used to be this amazingly technologically advanced civilization, and now they were fighting with spears and catapults (boooooring), but then the Lizardmen upped the ante :D. Still I wish the Thundercats had advanced technology of their own. My guess? Since he wasn't shown, and he WAS the engineering genius in the previous show, Panthro will come into play to provide the Thundercats with the necessary technology to fight back.

5) Again. crappy teen (and I'm betting it'll be full of angst) voice for Lion-O.

Still, I'm willing to give this show the benefit of the doubt :D

Hooooooooooooo

Nice!

Snarf is one quick clip, but no Mammut, no Pumra.
