Anyhow, I seriously hope I take a trip to Japan sometime soon. Looking at Hard-Off's/Book-Off's and all the other Off's always has me drooling, there's too much awesome stuff!

Damn you Japan and your waste not want not philosophy.....

Yeah, there are a lot of MD/CD head units, a lot of them factory. The only problem is that Japanese FM radios won't pick up American FM signals. If you don't care, then get one.
Aww man, I forgot all about the frequency differences between Japan and the rest of the world. I'm not the biggest fan of radio, but it's nice to have whenever the mood strikes.

There don't seem to be any MD Head Units that I can see which support AUX input, USB ports or MP3/WMA CD's either. I tend to carry around a good bit of good old fashioned CD's, but it would be nice to have the option of just rocking the Zune, iPod or flash drive depending on what people have with them.

Ahhhh Japan. Where every store has to have a jingle~
As bad as the guys outside yelling on megaphones for you to come in from time to time?

I know what you mean, but GARAGE OFF always smelled like heaven. I love the smell of old car parts. It's probably really unhealthy, but it's still an aphrodisiac.
Sounds like I should take you to my dads auto body shop for some paint fumes

I first learned about Hard off from this youtube channel

Just search his videos for hard off and you'll find a bunch of stuff. He does go rooting through the blue treasure bins a lot.

Seeing that much retro stuff in an actual store makes me jealous.

I've only experienced that in places where there are tons of stores in a small area to wrangle in business. In the sticks or suburban places they don't do that thankfully. Tokyo, Osaka, etc you'll find it for sure. Most anywhere else I don't see that.
