Well, headed out to run errands and hit Game Over. If David is there maybe he'll remember me from the first Austin meet and I'll bring up a meet. :)

Just got back from there and the Greek Festival. I gotta say, the place is pretty impressive. About a third if not more of the Austin location's stock was transferred over here, which is great. Soundtracks line the wall, there's a big CRT in the back, and the selection of games is excellent for basically every console (including imports). The store guy was funny, and he mentioned a "red haired guy who was also a Racketboy member" who came in that morning. I have no idea who that could be, though.

David wasn't there but I've got his info so I can perhaps bug him later about having a meet there. I don't really want to ask him about a meet there just yet since the store just got going and he's probably going a little crazy. I did talk to Tinh (?) a little about the Austin meets and he had been to at least one so I planted a seed a little at least. The TV they have set up is a little smaller than the one at the Lamar location, but there's a little couch there handy too and the store has enough open space that setting up a few more things will probably work.

There are a couple of pictures here that give you a rough idea what it's like. Mostly pre- grand opening shots, though.

Overall, it's smaller than the Austin branch, but the set up feels very similar.

It is smaller than the Lamar store, but bigger than the Round Rock one.

I would still be willing to do this at my place too. Lost track of this thread. Ya this weekend of the 15th is my birthday weekend and having a get together and renfest trip. I *think* I am free the 22nd though.

I've been following this thread for awhile, and I hope to get involved one day. It'd be nice to meet up with some people and play some retro systems. Heck, I might even bring my Duo

In the meantime, I'll try to be more involved in the community on the site, but in both cases, my time is limited. I work and live in College Station, but from time to time I go back home to Houston. Good luck on your next meet up, guys and gals!
