I used to never beat Mario games. I beat the first one as a kid, but Mario 2, 3, and Super Mario World I just couldn't get through...that is until this year. I've since beaten Mario 2 and Super Mario World, though 3 is still mocking me. And then there's Lost Levels, which I'm terrible at. I believe I'm in 5-1, but I just can't go farther.

Pro-TIP: If you don't have any powerups and you know you're coming up to a hammer bro, just run full pelt at it (don't stop or hesitate, ever), and if it's on the ground by the time you're close, don't jump, it will most likely jump out of the way for you as it will expect you to jump. I can't remember the last time I got caught by a hammer bro... Same strategy applies with the hammer throwing bowsers.
yeah I basically have no problem with SMB until world 8. The Hammer Bros I speak of are on stairs that you must ascend. That's what makes this part so hard, it's not like the typical Hammer Bros who are hanging out on those two platforms.
Yeah, same strategy applies... Seriously, just run at them. Don't give them time to start a pattern. It's practically impossible to get passed them when they start doing random patterns.

Trust me, I've done all the classic mario games including lost levels. You just need to man up and run at them and make the decision when you get there, don't think about it.

Banjo Kazooie - Holy fuck I tried on this one, but I just never could make it through the board game bit. Honestly did anyone ever do that without a gameshark and levitation?
Tonic Trouble - Wasnt even the last boss just that damn magic mushroom dancing around.
These are the only ones i remember ever beating me but that might just be since i havent played them since they came out. Most of the time I just lose interest in games before i beat them

Ninja Gaiden Black (Xbox) - The frequent enemy respawning makes it very difficult to explore the levels and make it out alive with most of your health and magic intact. To hell with that game! It's too frustrating for me

I played that game a shit ton years ago, just be patient and you will get him!

Im with the others, Ninja Gaiden on NES keeps me coming back for more like an addict who never learns. The Ghouls n Ghosts games are also worth noting. Bangai-o is also a royal pain in the ass.
