No one acknowledges their existence. And there's a reason for that.
I think the real reason is that so few people played them. I know I never did. I've never even seen a CD-i in person, to my knowledge. But, as has been mentioned on this forum several times, according to hardcore gaming 101, they really aren't that bad. If others have first-hand experience with them, I'd like to hear more.

Also, I also like Diddy Kong Racing, but I don't like the multiplayer or the graphics. The control doesn't bother me at all.

I find DKR to be superior to Mario Kart 64 in many respects, and I'd probably still consider it to be one of my top 25 video games, definitely one of my top 5 N64 games.
The controls in Diddy Kong Racing is what killed the game for me. I never felt it had the polish that I felt with Mario Kart 64, especially once you advanced beyond kart racing and into the planes and hovercrafts. While I figure it's obvious from the sales that others didn't have the issue I did, it really did lead me to hate this title.

Eh, personal choice. I actually liked Altered Beasts.
I know exactly what you mean about DKR, Ack. I always felt like I was fighting with the controls and I lost most of my races because I couldn't get my vehicle to do what I wanted.

Basically, the hovercraft takes time to master; I mostly use small continuous pushes in the direction I want to go. For the plane...hold down the R button. It will make turning a much better time. :)

Weren't there some number of Jaguar games that were touted as exclusives, but abysmal? Kasumi Ninja was pretty awful, and as far as I recall that was pushed as a bit of a "Mortal Kombat killer", was it not?

I agree with most of the games listed such as Too Human, Lair, Haze, and Superman 64. I would add to that list Hotel Mario on CD-i along with 3 CD-i Zelda titles.

I'll second this. I could never really see this shallow beat 'em up as a system seller. It clearly worked, but I don't understand it.
Altered Beast was also on the Master System and PC-Engine.

Also, I loved Diddy Kong Racing. The controls in Mario Kart 64 are way too slippery for my tastes, and DKR just seems to have a level of depth and polish that MK64 can't match.

A stunningly accurate "critical" analysis of Super Mario Bros written like it was 1986 all over again. Apparently it sucked.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?
