I also prefer Samsung HDTV sets too. I would never trade my 50" Samsung LED 1080p DLP away. It works great with my retro consoles. :)

I have used Vizio sets in the past for testing purposes and comparison and they are pretty nice overall. If you have the extra money then I would go with a Samsung or Sony. If you are on a tight budget or want to save money then go with a Vizio set.

The vizio sets are pretty sick once you take the time and effort to get a calibration disc and actually set the settings up correctly. I worked on mine for about 4 months, everytime i thought i liked the setting I realized I had something up to high or something to low. But I have finally got mine set really dang good. I suggest the High Def Essentials blu ray disc, and the Pixar Calibration on any pixar blu ray.
