What Are The Hardest NES Games Ever?

Toxic Crusaders is remarkably difficult. It's also pretty bad.

Oh, and Smash TV is very difficult, especially due to the makeshift control scheme. It's probably a lot easier with the dual-Advantage control scheme, but I've never hooked mine up to give it a shot.

Some of the games on the Action 52 are literally impossible.

Dragon's Lair is very difficult.

Dragon Power isn't too bad starting off, but gets very difficult towards the end.

Why can't I have four of him? At least I don't have to be on top of that enemy. He's hard, and he's only the first boss!

I just unlocked Jill Off as a playable character in Super Meat Boy! I actually downloaded Mighty Jill Off afterwards to see what it was all about. Didn't know it was a clone game!

Ninja Gaiden is pretty rough. I could never play those games to any real level of proficiency.

If you want to get into Japanese games, Beat Takeshi's Challenge is pretty anger inducing.

out of all the hard games mentioned here, Silver Surfer should be the hardest game. none of you guys played/try this game? you only have one hit point the entire game and you're basically not allowed to touch ANYTHING in this game either!

I have never played it, outside of the AVGN video I have never seen anything about it to be honest.

I had the game back before the internet days and I did know that it was a hard son of a bitch but I didn't know others felt the same way so it was quite frustrating. :lol:

I loved the game though and logged quite a few hours on it. I got pretty good at it but never beat it.

Metal Storm can be challenging at times too. It is such a great game though that you hardly notice the difficulty.
