Nope... Was it as abysmal as it was supposed to be?

Actually, I could have sworn I had it downloaded somewhere hmm.. Maybe I deleted it without even watching it :/

That was actually a two episode OVA edited together. The story was awful, but the art and character portrayal seemed a lot truer to the games to me than the U.S. cartoons or Archie comics were. The music was pretty cool, and some of the animation was a treat if you liked the cut scenes from Sonic CD.

Agree. The action scenes were just like the ones in Sonic CD. The rest was really average, although I don't like anime at all so if you do you might enjoy it more. I liked Robotnik and Knuckles' Voices. Knuckles' voice fit the trickster type role that knuckles had in the early games better than the deep voice he got in the games later on. Robotnik was spot on. Sonic's was good enough. The female character probably should have been replaced with amy.

That's probably because it was the same animation company (Toei) that did the Sonic CD animations for Sega 8)

Was Knuckles supposed to be wearing Nack's hat?

I looked through my hard drive last night, and I found the Sonic Movie 8)

Think I'm going to give it a watch tonight. Got to be honest though, I watched the first couple of minutes just to check it out, and it did look pretty damn awful.

On a Sunday, riding my bike
I notice, I notice many things that look alike...

I think the catchy music was really the best thing about the Sonic anime OVA/Movie

I saw it like 7 years ago. It is kind of crap, but I liked it. Way better than Sonic X imo haha

My feelings on it as well. a friend and I played a drinking game watching it once, I don't recall the rules, but it did not end well  .

It is so bad, it becomes good. It doesn't take itself seriously so it is fun to just watch and not think. Quite the opposite from every other sonic cartoon, which tried too much, and ended up being pretty stupid for it(Sonic X, Sonic Underground are the biggest offenders of this).

Sonic SatAM was perhaps the closest to a good sonic cartoon. too bad the comics it is based on suck.
