I loved it, one of my favorites from last year. I have high hopes for DMC.

Finally digging into this game, currently on chapter 3. I find this game a slightly disappointing so far, its not a bad game, it does have a few quirks that bother me. First of all a lot of this has been said. I don't like the controls. It takes like 1/2 a second for monkey to respond to the controller and he doesn't seem to react the way i want him to. And you can't fall of ledges and the jumping only lets you go to the correct spot. You cant accidentally jump to the wrong spot and die. Well that to me takes away some of the skill you need.

The story is alright and its not really a boring game. Graphics are very nice. Ill probably finish it, buts not one of those games where I cant wait to get home and play it. aka Uncharted!! Ill beat it put down any new thoughts on this game if I think it improves.. someone put down Game of the year? No way....

It was pretty decent, an hour or two into the game and you've pretty much seen the combat in its entirety which was my big complaint, but I still finished it and enjoyed it for the most part. Cool setting and characters.

I don't understand how you guys enjoyed this game so much (or at all for that matter). GOTY mentions? Best acting ever in a game? I mean... I dunno. I should stay out of here. I think NT is one of the worst developers around, and all their games are pretty much unplayable to me.

It was a one hit wonder for me, but yeah I'm certainly not giving it a GOTY award or anything myself. Heavenly Sword was atrocious and I already hate what they're doing to DMC along with the new director or whatever.

GotY is always an opinionfest, but I would be one of those who put Enslaved as in the running for GotY, along with Castlevania: LoS. With just these two games (Heavenly Sword and Enslaved) they are almost a developer I would purchase their games on "Day 1" and I am looking forward to DMC even though I hate that series.
