The gamer in me hates the collector in me right now.

I bought Sin and Punishment 2, it's still sealed. Granted I don't have a Wii yet, but when I get one I can just rent the game off of gamefly. I can play any PSP game I want for free thanks to the internet and my hacked PSP. Same goes for PS1 and Saturn games if you have a modded system. If I buy a game these days, it's because I want to own it, not because it's my only means of playing it.

And games have not gone down in value, I still see stuff on ebay selling for a lot more than they should
Wait, you think it's silly that someone collects all wrestling games they might actually at least try to play those copies, but you stockpile unopened games and then use gamefly to play another copy of said games? Different strokes. :P

Buy another copy, look at both of them sitting on your shelf...and realize how lame it was to keep the other one in its shrink wrap and that you wasted 50 bucks on a copy that you will play.

I said I don't see the point of wasting shelf space on bad wrestling games that could be used for better games or other things. I also don't see the point of spending a lot of money to buy bad games when you could be buying good games instead or other things. Also, I never used the word silly in that post, I just said I don't personally see the point of it.

As for Gamefly, it only costs a small monthly fee, it's a steal how many games you can actually play for just that small fee. It negates the need to buy games unless you just want to collect them, which is something I enjoy doing. And I figure if I'm going to collect something I might as well keep it in prime condition, so lately I just keep them sealed. I don't see what's so odd about that. It actually makes perfect sense to me

i am all for collecting, but i think its funny reading some of this thread. some of you guys are sounding like you are going to be able to retire early by keeping your stuff sealed.
if you took a shit, please put it back

Raztat, how do you like Death Smiles? I played it once at my friends and plan on picking it up this weekend. I was just wondering your personal take and if it was worth cracking open. Was there any particular comment or reason that made you pop the games cherry?

Fair enough, I added the word silly.

And Heelsinc wants to collect wrestling games. :)

Anyway, wasn't trying to pick a fight or anything.

That's cool, I wasn't looking for one

I guess people just have different criteria for collecting than I do. I've never had that completionist desire to have every game for a genre or console, but it appeals to other people, which is fine. I wasn't trying to diss him for wanting every wrestling game ever made. I just didn't understand why

Its hella fun, I can't put the game down. Possibly my second favorite game this gen for the 360. Also the face plate is sexy with my black 360. Deff worth opening.

You know I actually went and opened mine too. I might regret it later, but at the moment I'm just having too much fun playing it. I've had this craving to play something simple but challenging. 2d shooters fit the bill. On rank 1 it seems I can get to the last stage without dying, but that last stage is intense and the final boss puts the hell in bullet hell
