i actually have the other consoles it has it on...i just want the Wii version.Gamerforlife wrote:Sorry dude. That's why I like having multiple consoles. I can play any thing, any time. Fucking things are expensive though, that's why I still don't have a Vita.sevin0seven wrote:Gamerforlife wrote:http://www.joystiq.com/2012/10/04/retro ... s3-vita-a/The WiiWare and XBLA versions are coming later in 2012
On another note, I wonder how the reviews will be on this one. A lot of retro style games or retro re-releases have been received poorly or just with a lukewarm response this year. Games like Double Dragon Neon, Hell Yeah! Wrath of the Dead Rabbit, Nights into Dreams HD, Lollipop Chainsaw, and Jet Set Radio HD all come to mind. Critics aren't big on retro these days.
I'm getting it regardless. I've seen gameplay footage and it looks and sounds great. Plus, the developer seems like a cool dude

Yeah, I can certainly see why. Certainly would be fitting. Kind of ironic that only the PC version gets the box and stuff, when this is so clearly a console game.sevin0seven wrote: i actually have the other consoles it has it on...i just want the Wii version.

Man, I love cross-buys. Awesome game to have on a handheld. Can't wait.Gamerforlife wrote:Yeah, if you buy one you get the other. I'm planning on getting it for PS3, but damn those PC exclusive pre order bonuses are tempting. You basically get a box and instructions. Closest thing to an actual physical release you're gonna get. I could easily run this on my PC, but I've already got my PS3 hooked up to the big TV and wanted to play it that wayretrosportsgamer wrote:Anyone know if the PS3/Vita versions are bundled like some releases?
I know a lot of guys from Kotaku and Polygon are excited for this one so I'd wager it will get a fair shake.

The saves cross over too. The game's available now. I went to download it and it gave me the downloads for both the PS3 version and the Vita one. Awesome. Seeing as how I occasionally will double dip on games that I really like a lot, it's nice that I won't have to play for it again when I get a Vita.retrosportsgamer wrote:Man, I love cross-buys. Random gripe. Irritates me when someone says a game is avaliable today and it isn't there until like 3:30 in the afternoon. Okay, done bitching now

3:30 pm is nothing! In the past some PSN releases would come after 9pm EST (The Simpsons Arcade was definitely one of those).
Good news that its out there.

Yeah, 9 pm sucks. I just remember staying up til midnight for Castle Crashers on the 360, along with some other members of the board if I recall, and at midnight it was there to download. I guess PSN doesn't work that wayretrosportsgamer wrote:3:30 pm is nothing! In the past some PSN releases would come after 9pm EST (The Simpsons Arcade was definitely one of those).

Re: Retro City Rampage (wiiware)
So far, this game really does feel like 8-bit Grand Theft Auto and it's got more video game references and pop culture references than I think I can even keep up with.
I'm having fun so far. There's a shit ton of display and color options in this game to make it emulate just about any retro gaming platform you can think of. I'm playing with the arcade mode with makes it look i'm standing in front of an actual arcade cabinet with the picture in the center of the screen.

When I learned it was full of references I lost interest immediately. Perhaps Hotline Miami might do the trick instead.

What's wrong with references? I will pick it up because it seems great and references are icing on the cake.Pulsar_t wrote:When I learned it was full of references I lost interest immediately. Perhaps Hotline Miami might do the trick instead.
