Re: What's the main system you collect for?
I completed the 32X collection a while back and and am finishing up the PS1 Longbox collection presently (only 9 left!). I'm not sure if I want to go all out for something after that or not. I'm fairly happy with where most of my collections are aside from the games in my want list - so I don't see the retro collection growing a whole lot more. Collecting a complete set for the O2 has crossed my mind though...

Re: What's the main system you collect for?
I pick things up here and there for any system without any real aim most of the time. If I had to narrow it down to one, I would say the Saturn is the system I will "hunt down" games for. It may not be the system I own the most titles for, but I went above and beyond to get a lot of the ones I have.

Re: What's the main system you collect for?
I collect hardware rather than software. I'd rather have a ton of systems with a few good games each than a complete collection of any given system. I also collect 3rd party hardware, like mod chips and flash carts. As a result, I can play pretty much any game I want on any system I want.
If I buy a game these days either, I played it as a kid so it has nostalgia value in just owning the cart. Or it's a legendary game that happened to fall into my hands very cheaply. Or it's a game that just doesn't work on a modified console.

I collect for many game systems at different times. My library is pretty diverse across all my systems I own. The systems I own the most games for are on my Playstation 2 and Xbox with 100+ games each. I'm currently working on picking up Dreamcast, SNES, and Saturn games at the moment.

Re: What's the main system you collect for?
That exactly how I am! Most of my systems have less than 20 games for them but I buy games individually rather than in bundles. I also collect for the most recent console I have, just recently I got an Xbox, so I'm collecting for it now currently.Hatta wrote:I collect hardware rather than software.
