I am interested since it is Stardock. But 4x Fantasy = worth keeping an eye on.

HORRIBLE showing by Microsoft. The whole keynote went entirely as predicted with no real exciting news and just more of the same from last year with Natal, Metal Gear Solid Rising, Joyride, Forza, Fable III, Halo Reach... sure, we didn't have all the game footage last year. But c'mon.. something new please? This is the best you can do after an entire year??
..and then how about that stunt at the end where they promise to ship new Xbox 360's to every member of the audience? Uhh.. a little desperate for good reviews are we??
There were moments where I thought the Kinect games looked interesting. But overall, it just seems like most of them we've already seen before with the Sony Eyetoy and Nintendo's Wii.
I'm calling EPIC FAIL on this one. And unless Sony really screws up tomorrow, they should be able to easily blow this media conference out of the water.

It's much easier to prove you've gone hardcore than it is to prove you've gone casual. Hardcore gamers might be willing to play some badass new Wii games because we know games well enough to know that's possible, but I don't think any soccer moms are going to believe that the systems that brought you GTA IV and Gears of War are suddenly the bastions of family gaming.
Though, I don't think Nintendo will actually do that. They know their family image is important. They will bend to a degree and release a few games like Mad World, but when they go hardcore its usually stuff like New Super Mario Bros Wii. Nintendo is hardcore as in skillfully challenging, not hardcore as in ultra-violence and graphical realism. It's hardcore while still being accessible image-wise.

Ya know, I wish Microsoft would just realize that a lot of people/families out there buy systems not because of the fun, accessible games that are available for it, but rather because it says "Nintendo" on the box.

Is it just me, or did it seem like the MGS game would work better with a Wiimotion plus to control the angle of your swording?
