Christ Laperriere. After that one to the face earlier this year should have changed his mind about the shield.

Laperriere had asked the trainer is my eye gone. He thought he had lost it since so much blood and swelling had prevented him from seeing through it.
Something like 60 stitches. That guy has balls.

Lappy is our best penalty killer, anyone surprised? By the way, even though he survived that last slap shot to the face and only missed one shift, looks like he is done for the season with a brain contusion and mild concussion. We are going to be hurting without him. Our PK has been phenomenal so far mainly because he and Betts. I would rather get Lappy back than Gagne. Guess we will be stuck with just a great PK now.

And he is so nice. Great guy, I can see why the Avs fans miss him so much. By the way, I hope no one is defending Cooke. He is a dirty d-bag. I compare him to Avery. I like Avery. He is a pest who pushes the envelope. The Flyers have fallen victim to his antics like most other teams. Cooke is not a pest, he is a cheap shot artist and that shot of him getting his ass knocked out continues to be one of the best pictures I have ever seen. Even if you are Pens fans, you have to admit he is a sucker. I know the first reaction is to compare his hit to Mike Richards, but most do that without having seen Richards hit on Booth or Campbell or whoever. Those were fair hits, not fair anymore because a new rule has been instituted. Everyone reads an article about Richards and his hit and jumps on the Flyers hatewagon.

Well, as I pens fan, I feel I must defend cooke.

uhhh, Im pretty sure that it was not tintentional to hit him, but a guy like cooke is going to go for the big hit, and there is noting wrong with that. Both players were just in the wrong place at the wrong time. :)

Cooke is a "pest". He can be dirty. He is more talented than most "pests". Every team has one or more "pests". His hit on Savard was dirty.

Still, hearing a Flyers fan call another player or team "dirty" - priceless.

+1.

Like Schultz and Clark calling other players "bullies". They were part of the broad street bullies for cryin' out loud.

How did you get the youtube video of the puck to the face to embed right on the site? I didn't know it was possible on this site, I've never been able to figure out how to.
