It can be difficult to actually get the 1ups there though since the screen keeps going.

I can get through the first 6 levels now only losing 2 or 3 lives, and I'm at the point where I can beat level 8 consistently, but level 7 is going to be difficult no matter what so I usually skip it now just to practice the levels after. I'm working on perfecting the water section of 9 now.

I had only ever rented this game so I had never gotten very far. I just got a Dingoo and this is one of the first games I dled. So freaking hard, thank goodness for the ability to cheat and save your exact position whenever you want when using a Dingoo.

seriously. When I play games, and ESPECIALLY when I'm playing a Together Retro game, I play it faq-less and no cheats. Save states. Pfff.

so on the Game Boy game I can get to this level:

which is just brutal. It's a weird ball thingy chasing you like Indiana Jones. Sucks.

That looks like a brain/testicle... Battletoads had such crazy enemy designs for the time!

Game Genies? Cheat devices? And here I was all proud of you guys for doing a Together Retro on one of the most notoriously hard games ever. Shame on you guys

Ah hell, I'm just kidding. Play it however you want, I never beat the game myself personally. However, I HAVE done the hover bike level with no deaths and I have beaten the S-NES game legimately multiple times.

And yeah, I thought everyone knew about crow juggling. The game has warps too, which could make your lives a LOT easier.

EDIT:And because I know some people aren't aware of it, here's the awesome Battletoads Arcade:

what the hell is going on in that picture

But yeah I made it to level 10 and lost again.

Also someone earlier was complaining about the game's mechanics, but I think they're fantastic. The controls feel rock solid to me.

Well I decided I'd take this Battletoads challenge, and I can't get past the hoverboard level for the life of me. And what level do you get chased by that big testicle?
