What game have you had the longest?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

Mega Man X, for SNES - one of the Majesco reprints from 1998. It was my first game, and my first SNES game, and I had meant to buy it with a Model 2 SNES that Toys R' Us was selling at the time, but only got the game because the store had run out of the consoles (darn!!) A week later, I ended up getting a used original SNES from FuncoLand (when GameStop was still cool!)

Wow, I had to wiki "apf tv fun"

I bought SimCity for Mac so I could play at school, since I had no computer back in '89-90. I still have the 3.5"'s and box.

For console, all my NES went to my cousin and is now gone. I still have my Phantasy Star and R-type for SMS that I got after my NES, so prolly '88-89.

Good topic.

Cool.

It's pretty much pong, although they are very liberal with naming some of the games.

I've had games from before I was born.
My Father gave me his apf tv fun (1976) his 2600, and his collection of boxed Atari games, as early as I can possibly remember.
Nice. Keepin' it all in the family, yo.

I also stupidly sold my original NES stuff from the 80s. I got a Gameboy in about 1991 and I've kept pretty much everything of value ever since. I have Tetris, which came packed with the Game Boy and I have my original copy of Metroid 2 which I bought when it was released. That game was the "system seller" for me with the Game Boy. My oldest console game would be an SNES game - my copy of Super Mario Kart with a game save that still has everything 100 percent unlocked/beaten. I got that as a pack-in with the SNES in spring of 1993.

^Ha.

In all honesty, the only game I have ever gotten rid of was in undergrad. I traded my copy of Actraiser for Actraiser II. A mistake that I will not make again.

Wait, I did trade a dupe for Duck Tales 2. Not sure if trading dupes counts.
