I love this game as well. I still like the classics more, Legend of Zelda, Link to the Past, and Zelda II more. But right after those is Link's Awakening for me. Ironic thing is, that I'm playing through it again right now.

Can't forget the Feather too, awesome item that really changed up some things for LA and the Oracle games.

How about meeting townspeople and whatnot before you actually get your sword?

hehe, that was pretty cool :) . Specially since you had to get into actual danger before you got your sword.
