The Sound Emulation in the RetroGen SUCKS! I Played Sonic 3 on mine for 10 minutes and after the device managed to slaughter one of my all time favorite games I listed it on ebay literally within the hour. Listen to it play the first level, "Angel Island", it is nothing like the original. I got mine from Gamesboro, really nice guy, really terrible product. I am just going to shell out the $$ for a Nomad unless the GenMobile gets the sound right.

This video may help you find your answer on the Gen Mobile:

I don't know the true music of Street Fighter II to compare, but you might.

If the Genmobile shows up in the UK I'll get it, simply because it will be a lot, lot cheaper than trying to buy a Nomad here, plus just for the pure novelty of it, bad sound emulation or not.

I want to see real reviews to determine if the RetroGen or GenMobile is a better buy...

The main differences between the two seems to be the design and the fact that the retrogen has a bunch of shovelware java like games built in, and the Genmobile has 20 or so Mega Drive games built in. The d-pad looks better on the Gens to me too (playstation style rather than a circular thing).

RetroGen pros:
-Bigger Screen
-more "adult" looking controls (silver = adult)

GenMobile pros:
-20 built in Sega games
-Better controls

Tough choice, but I'd go with the GenMobile for the built-in games.

Is the Genmobile out? The other site says you have to preorder it but this one is saying it's in stock....
