SEGA Console Color: Black or White?

Yeah, none of the models Tectoy produces have slots, which is a shame. I think it's very disrespectful of Tectoy to close the option of playing cartridges with consoles. I mean, those who supported the company when they made the games available in Brazil are pretty much screwed.

These systems are pretty much clones, and even if they had cart slots, I'm not sure they would be able to play all the games flawlessly. The third "Mega Drive", for example, is the size a wallet. Yeah, ridiculously small.

In any case, I think the white six-button pads are very cool.

It might be possible. I know that the Genesis, Atari, and C64 DTV units have been hacked with cart ports and keyboards and things.

I think that it depends on the look of the console. Some consoles do look pretty nice with black. I do prefer white electronics, though--mostly because I like color on my walls and things in my house to be white. That way they pop against an overall backdrop of dramatic color. Some consoles, of course, are just designed with white in mind. The Wii doesn't look the same in black and I'm not a fan of the new color option. Some consoles, look great in black. The Genesis 2 really is a sleek machine that always made me think a bit of the Batmobile and so black looks great on it.

I have the Dreamcast in both colors and vastly prefer my original. My case swapped, white US Saturn is one of my most prized possessions. Yay white Sega consoles!
