I prefer CV: Rebirth over Excitebike, but I'm also a major Castlevania fan. I did a video review of the game earlier this month:

Oh wow, it came out!? I've been waiting since I saw this thread... I'm downloading it now!
edit: Playing it right now, so far so good. It plays like a typical NES style Castlevania.

No, it's really smooth. Kinda reminds me of the 2.5D remake of Rondo.

Sounds cool, but I've never played the remake of Rondo, is the control in that game (and ReBirth) similar to Castlevania IV for the SNES?
