Well, I'm sorry to see you go, as were a very interesting user, but it sounds as if there is no convincing you to stay, so I won't try.

Peace Mozgus. Never really talked to you but I did agree with you on some things. Ah well, can't blame you for leaving, it is getting very dull around here. When you see topics like "Are you drunk right now?" means it's time to run for cover.

I guess I could see leaving due to popularity resulting in less high-quality posts, but I generally considered the site to have a better userbase than most crap I've been on. But to each their own I guess. Good luck or whatever.

Wow, always sucks to lose a major personality, much less a long time racketeer. Good luck wherever you head off to.

That's a real shame, Moz. I hate to see you go. I'm sort of in the middle of old and new, but it doesn't really matter how long you've been on these forums, you can see the impact you make immediately. I for one have never been offended by anything you've said because to do so is to not be able to comprehend the concept of honesty. You had well-spoken (and endearingly out-spoken) opinions and they were always valid (I don't share your reaction to Dragon Force, for instance, although your points were quite valid). It's a shame that I never got much of a chance to talk to you; seems we were both interested in certain intricacies of video games, but those interests rarely over-lapped. Seemed like you were concerned with the inner-workings of video games and I was more concerned with what they meant as a whole (correct me if I'm wrong... y'know... if you read this), which meant that we'd only have conversations with comments like, "I didn't care about Rez's convoluted story", and "Why would you want licensed music in a video game at all?" and that's a real shame because I could tell you were very intelligent and had very well thought-out ideas about art and technology.

I sometimes wonder too what the point is of the walls-of-text I type around here, trying to delve as deeply into topics about things as seemingly shallow as video games as I can, when I often don't get a whole ton of response. I have to thank this entire forum for contributing to my "Exemplary Instances of Video Games with Artistic Merit!" thread, but I wish there were more threads like that and that they would last longer.

This is something we need to work on, folks. Lest we become akin to all those other mindless forums out there.

Regardless, deepest respect as one can give to another forum member on a site about outdated video games without looking completely ridiculous, Mozgus. All the luck in the world to ya'.

I also need to point out that I'm not going to adopt some other forum as a primary. I spent way too much time here and I have no desire to substitute it with more of the same. I'm looking forward to the time being spent on perhaps actually playing some games instead of typing about them, or *gasp* playing them with others. I was actually assigned as personal guide for a coworker last night til midnight on Shadow of the Colossus. 9 beasts were conquered.

Thanks for keeping a good attitude in this thread everyone, including Moz.
And thanks again, Moz for all the help you did share here. Even though we didn't see eye-to-eye on how everything was handled, you will be missed by me and (obviously) others.

And as we've discussed as I try to get back on my feet in my personal life, I'm going to do my best to get this place in the best shape of it's 5 years and take many of your comments and suggestions into strong consideration.

And I hope to join you in the effort to actually play more actual games :)

Best of luck!
