I love playing FPS games online. When I play on dedicated servers that quickly and permanently ban any wall hackers, aim botters, etc. Otherwise, it's just chaos.

I wasn't talking about botting/haxing, I was talking about exploiters (ie. that Javelin glitch in MW2)

Same difference, as far as I'm concerned.

It's bad on all counts. Defending the use of infinite combos is right on par with defending the use of Game Shark in a tournament.

If you have some method of breaking free of infinites in games that don't have Burst Attacks/Combo Breakers/etc, please tell me. Then maybe I'll change my mind. Until such a time comes, infinite combos will continue to reward cheap players for memorizing simple strings of button presses, and punish those that actually try to play the game the way it was intended to be played.
This has to be THE WORST argument against infinites I've ever read. I'm sorry, but I'm not going to stand here and try to justify tournament standard rules to someone who literally equates them to direct, blatant cheating. You can keep thinking what you want, and I'll continue playing by tournament standard rules, okay?

So what if they're tournament legal? Wave Dashing in Smash Bros Melee is tournament legal too, but that doesn't make it any less broken.

A glitch is a glitch. While taking advantage of glitches in practically every other type of game results in disqualification/bannings (like FPSs and MMOs), it's supposed to be condoned in a fighting game? Seems ass backwards to me.

Unless I get a good reason why infinites should be condoned, then I'll continue to see them as the game breakers that they are. The only time I've seen infinites reduced in effectiveness was with Arc System Works' fighters, where damage scaling actually kicks in within a reasonable amount of time. While MvC2 seems to have damage scaling, it's hardly a factor at all.

Since when? It's not very often that I see someone banned for taking advantage of a glitch unless it supremely fucks someone over (ie. Javelin glitch).

What's the point of taking advantage of a glitch if it doesn't supremely fuck someone over?

The only glitches I remember people taking advantage of back when I played involved somehow getting into areas where players weren't supposed to get to. You could tell they weren't supposed to get to these places on account of walls becoming transparent and other graphical weirdness. While these glitches were map-specific, they allowed those with powerful weapons to easily shoot people through walls.

Another glitch I remember seeing a lot involved people jumping into the skybox in Counter-Strike. It required team-work, but it allowed you to pretty much fly over the entire arena, making it the online equivalent to shooting fish in a barrel.

Haven't played online shooters as much as I did back in High School and College, but I also remember seeing glitches for more recent games like Gears of War 2, which involved melee-killing people through cover.

It helps you. Example: In Killing Floor, on the London map there are two trader spots that she alternates between. You can just keep going to the trader location closest (I think it's the closest) to you even when she's not there. Press up against the wall and keep pressing E.

Are you for real? You just called one of the least useful advanced techniques in Melee broken. You have to be trolling. If you're SERIOUS, then you would do well to take the time to learn what a glitch actually is and what warrants a ban in competitive gaming.

Main team: Sakura, B.B. hood, SonSon

I very rarely use Dark Sakura if that's what anyone is thinking. Instead I stay on the attack with regular Sakura and nail them with super combos whenever I can. B.B. Hood is there mainly for her projectile attacks and super which can do massive damage when timed correctly. Plus it links well with just about every other super in the game.

SonSon is there for when I want to play keep away or mess with the other guys head in general. "POW!!" is just awesome....I've lost several matches just because I kept attempting to use it. :D

If I'm playing for fun:

Roll, Servbot, Tron Bonne.

I love playing with Roll even if she's the worse in the game. It is the main reason why my win/lose ratio is so awful on live. Sometimes I'll even use a Roll, Roll, Roll team just to mess with the other guys head. When I do win with either one of these teams in non-ranked matches on live people can't help but laugh. I've actually gotten so good with Roll that I can beat most decent players with her. Advanced - Expert players will usually destroy me in no time though unless I play keep away just to be annoying.
