Judging by the fact this topic had been inactive for more than a week, it was also a dead topic about MotW...

You consider a thread completely dead if nobody posts in it for a week? Wow...

So, does anyone out there like Hokuto?

I think this game deserves more play and more attention. It really is something of a sleeper fighter. It was something of a deal for a while but then it seemed to fade into the background. If SNK every gets enough balls to make bigger changes to KOF it would be logical to move in the MoTW direction.

The game is probably going to get more attention, as it is going to be available on Xbox Live (not sure about PSN, though).

Dammit! I don't want any of the current disc-based games, but Xbox Live is really making me want a 360. MoTW with Live play would be excellent.

Garou drops this week on Live, 800 MS points. Well, someday I'll buy a current-gen console.

I played it at a friend's place. It's good if you can actually find anybody playing. A large part of the time was spent trying to find different people to fight against, it seemed like it was just us and about 3 other people playing, and we were trying to avoid certain cheapskates that we recognized.

Also, LAG! If you can fight someone without it, it is great. However, about 1 out of every 4 matches we played lagged so bad it was unplayable. We're talking 2-3 second delays between pressing buttons here. It felt like I was one of those kids that just presses buttons at an arcade cabinet while 'Please Insert Coin' flashes at the bottom of the screen - like I was just watching replay footage.
