Even with those the lists will be huge, but I will talk to Ack and bounce the ball back and forth alittle and see what comes out.

Moving onto Home computers
Re: Moving onto Home computers
I just got a free good as new boxed philips vg-8235 MSX2 computer for free from marktplaats (Dutch equivalent of craiglist).
Its a great little system that has some impressive potential. The msx is also the birthplace of a lot of konami games. Metal gear 1&2 obviously come to mind. It can load games from casette's (a leftover artefact from the msx1), cartridges, or through DD floppies. This unit only has a 360kb drive sadly. But can be upgraded to the common 720kb format. Most japanese games were released on cartridges. The system contains two cart/expansion slots that can be used to hook up a number of addons ranging from extra ram, games, sound modules, and modems. There was a substantial following of the system here in the Netherlands, and user groups still exist today. Largely due to the open nature of the architecture, and the amount and quality of the software available for it.
If you never played on an msx before, I suggest you try the bluemsx emulator. Load up some of those early konami games and play away.
