Ya might be on to something. Perhaps for those that didn't get into gaming until later, they had no idea there even was a Saturn/Dreamcast versions.

I just know that, back then, a lot of gaming magazines would talk about these import Saturn versions and how they were so much better than the PSX version. In fact, I recall drooling over screen-by-screen comparisons of the two and being really pissed that all I had was a PSX at the time.

Demand for Saturn imports was so high, that even EB had a huge selection of import titles. I recall seeing games like Slayers Royal there.

But, if your first system was a PS2, then you missed all of that. It's a damn shame.

Another vote here for Cyberbots, quite the underrated fighter that. On the cheap end of the Saturn imports, I'd also recommend Zero Divide, especially if you like Sega 3D fighters like Fighting Vipers, only in this case it's robots, including a robot dragon!

There are many great puzzle games on import, mostly quite cheap too: Puyo Puyo Sun, Hanagumi Taisen Columns, Sega Ages Columns collection and one of my favorites: Gussun Oyoyo S.

How about The Super Dimension Fortress Macross?

I just picked it up on ebay for $15 shipped but couldn't find to much info on it. I love the old macross cartoon when I was a kid and the youtube shoots look pretty cool.

Well youve got my interest piqued. I am working my way through Robotech currently (dvd set and youtube) and a Saturn run and gun/shump is curious.

I have both oXbox games and the GBA game and have enjoyed the first series since I was a kid. In fact, yesterday, when I saw the game listed I just bought it without looking on the web for info. There was only 48 sec left and I took a shot. But after seeing the youtube info, I have to say it looks pretty good.

Plus coverprojects got a couple greet covers for me waiting too ...

I own the series on battered VHSs and DVD and vividly remember getting up to watch it and Transformers on tv before school. I am going to hunt for more info and the game later tonight, thanks again.

edit:
And after a quick investigation - It is called Do you Remember Love and is a fairly common title - $10-15 pre shipping is the going rate. It supposedly follows the movie fairly closely and is considered a fantastic game that does not get the credit it deserves. It also is a hori that spans two cds...
