The reason I'm resurrecting this is because the mom n' pop game shop in Lakeline Mall (Northwest of Austin) has opened a console gaming area. It is a pay per hour to play setup. I'm going to talk with the owners and see if they would be down for a big SNK event of some kind.

Cool, one step closer. I got a reply from GamerZ's in my thread on their site. They have no problem hosting a SNK/Neo Geo event. There is a fee to use their gaming area, of course. And they do not have systems or games. So donations will be needed. I could use some general help brainstorming what kind of event to hold - tourney, simple meet and greet?

But at least I have a place to set up an actual meet in Austin, now. Ok, so who's interested?

I've only gotten 3 "definitely will attend" responses from friends. Surprisingly, no one I know in Austin is interested... these are people from Houston and Dallas. Anyway, I'm pushing a possible meet back to sometime in the Spring. If you're interested in helping put something together in the Austin area, post here or drop me a PM.
