Bad fucking day at the school. Drug deals, kids giving bj's on the bus, kindergartners dumping ass in their pants. Thank god the weekend is coming.

Smile: Redline is coming over later today with a projector TV. Metal Slug on a 6'x7' screen!
Frown: I am probably one of the more autocratic leaning people around here but something was passed through the senate the other day that even scares me. If you get a chance, read this link. It is a short article about the National Defense Authorization Act for FY 2012.
What stuns me is that, on its face, it appears to be entirely unconstitutional. Yet it passed the senate 93-7.

Smile: Finally sold the Brat. Went to someone that I'm sure isn't going to destroy it. Hopefully they give it the love it deserves and nurse it back to health. No more worrying when I hear a truck outside if it is a tow truck.
Frown: Sold the Brat. Ended up costing about $2 a day to gaze at it parked every day for the past year. *sniffles*

Ticked: Strep throat isn't contagious anymore, but its still painful. I'm really tired of it. Work was also slow today.
Smiled: Glad to get out of the house, glad to be able to talk, glad to eat solid food again. Since work was slow, I ended up doing some of the handyman jobs around the library, which didn't bother me. It makes me look more useful.
Also, any of the Texans on here live near Dallas? I have a few reasons to visit the Lone Star State, and I figured if I do, I should say hi. While we're at it, any of you know of any decent library jobs in Texas?

It's obvious you live in a small state. Asking a general "Any good ______ job in Texas" is liking asking for a good plumbing job in Russia. Uhh, good luck with that.
Don't live in Dallas, closer to San Marcos, but I always find comments like that funny.

Uh, yeah. I live in Georgia and I'm from Alabama. That's sort of how we operate over here. It's obvious you come from Texas, where everything is big, like your mouth. The Last Horseman wrote:It's obvious you live in a small state. Now do you want to quit being an ass and offer some friendly advice on potential methods of finding work in that big ole' state of yours, or would you like to make more critical comments that don't help me any?

Jeez, calm down. I'm just saying, it makes a huge difference on where you want to go. Do you want a big city area, suburbs, more rural areas? West or East Texas? Once you get the idea of the area, the best ways I know of are the tried and true. Try craigslist, wanted adds in the paper (you can get some from bigger cities shipped out of state), possibly call the employment agency of the area.
And seriously, I didn't mean anything, it just always gets me. Like how many people ask, where's a good place to live? Well, do you like desert, rock, ocean front, swamps, piney woods, coastal plane, pecan bottoms, river bottoms, hill country.... etc. There is a lot of different areas in this state. I know, I'm egotistical when it comes to my state, but I mean no offense.
