Sorry to switch gears just a tiny bit here but with the announcement of the Nintendo Switch and seeing Skyrim being played on that all portable like, I went back to playing Borderlands 2 on the Vita.

it's similar in a way that its a console/PC game being played on a portable. Stuff like that gets me excited. Shame that Vita didn't have many games like that.

Can you imagine a huge game like Skyrim in the palm of your hand?

Anyway carry on.

As much as I like having physical Vita games (and believe me, I enjoy ownin' physical games), I'm so upset at how underutilized Cross-buy stuff was/is. With the pretty good amount of games on both the PS3 and Vita, and the even larger amount of games on both the PS4 and Vita, I'd probably have bought a lot more console/Vita games recently if I could play it on both consoles :(

I agree, but at least Sony did it more than Nintendo.

I'd argue though that Nintendo doesn't have nearly as many games that they could do that with (In terms of physical games). The few Nintendo games across the Wii U and 3DS that get physical releases are usually different in some respect, if not a somewhat modified version, and they're also usually released quite far apart. PS4/PS3 and PSVita games are usually released at exactly the same time and are exactly the same game, so I see less reason for why they can't be cross-buy :/

Though in terms of digital releases, I certainly agree. The eShops share enough of a library that it would be really nice if you got it on both if you own it on one, especially considering that the accounts can be linked with your Nintendo account thingy.

I was definitely talking digital games. They're waaay too different in terms of capabilities for there to be much physical overlap (although Hyrule Warriors Legends was quite impressive).

Being a bit shameless here, got a couple of physical Vita games and goodies for those who like the OLED:

Vita -1000 starter bundle - $25 shipped
- Uncharted: Golden Abyss
- Gravity Rush
- Hori Grip Attachment for Vita -1000 model
- Official PS Vita portable "battery" (not a charger!)
- Official PS Vita travel pouch

Man I need to start carrying around my portable battery stick thing I have somewhere. I've been playing ToCS on it and man is the battery draining awfully quick. I'd play on ps3 when at home but I don't know, there's something awfully relaxing about curling up in bed with my vita and going at it with this game. I've charged it at least 3-4 times since yesterday(what with fighting my surge protector to stay plugged up) just trying to play this thing. Why does battery life on these modern systems have to stink so bad?

Darsparx, try putting your Vita in Flight Mode:

And lower the brightness a bit, and use ear buds.

That's about all you can do to conserve battery life for longer intervals of play.
PLAY KING'S FIELD.

See and beyond flight mode I've done the others. And the problem with earbuds is I'm generally prone to using my sony over the ear which apparently doesn't help my neck at all. I'm just in love with Cold Steel at this point and want more. Though I need to work in something light hearted soon...
