Let strength be granted, so the world might be mended...so the world might be mended.

Forgot about Citra, curious how that's progressing. I can't imagine that it would cause me some crawling problems on my system between the i7 and the 980 nvidia video card with 8GB of ram on it.

I just realized Azure Striker Gunvolt: Striker Pack is coming out in October. I'm not sure if I should be happy, or weep for my wallet

My Walmart in the Leicester ma area got shovel knight on clearance for 15.00. Been waiting for a deal on this one. After seeing the video, it's right up my alley

Re: Nintendo 3DS
Maybe late to the party but anyone else playing Project X Zone 2? I like it but I think I liked the first one better.
I have to skim the manual at some point but I don't really get what's going on with XP vs. CP vs. EP vs. SP. I don't get why there are so many numbers. I liked that they shortened the fights and the music is mostly better, although a few tunes I liked better in the first game. For whatever reason I think the super moves as a whole aren't as fun to watch this time either. Oh, and the story is still ass. I gave up on reading everything and just fly through the dialogue now. Unfortunately that means I'll probably miss some in-jokes I would've laughed at had I read them, but the story is just the worst ever (again).
Overall it's not bad it just didn't really do anything to improve on the first game even though I think they sort of tried.

Re: Nintendo 3DS
Question:
If I buy digital games on this thing and it breaks, how easy is it to get my digital purchases on a new 3ds console?

Re: Nintendo 3DS
It's not, in theory. The same shit Nintendo setup where they tie your buys to the hardware itself, not an account alone. Their attitude is, if it's broken, ship it in and we'll restore or replace it and copy your goodies back on the new one if it goes that way. But if you sell it, break it (no RMA fix), have it lost or stolen -- screw you.
It's probably a 50/50 chance maybe depending on your sales/call history with their 800# but if you call and plead your case to the rep they may forward it through their system to the department that handles those purchases and they may flip the switch to allow you to re-download them once you supply them with the serial# to the replacement unit. Yes, you have to beg.
I had to do this when I went backwards from a new 3DSXL to a 3DSXL because they don't consider them the same machine (like how GB went to GBC or DS/Lite to DSi since the hardware is upgraded.) They did it, but it took like a day or two for it to be authorized and it was a maybe I was told, not a definite so I'd have to watch my email for a verdict.
I wouldn't have bothered but I was a 3DS Ambassador with those unique downloads for NES and GBA along with some other freebies and a few purchases I relented on (mainly 3d classics/sega 3d classics.)

That's about what I figured. I guess I won't buy any full fledged 3ds digital titles. Probably just get a few virtual console games for ease of useTanooki wrote:It's not, in theory. Re: Nintendo 3DS
The couple people I know were able to get their stuff redownloaded without too too much difficulty after calling Nintendo and explaining the situation (one just mentioned "I take public transportation to work in Baltimore" and the rep was like "Yeah, that sounds like a legitimate theft case...." lol), but yeah, in general, I wouldn't hedge my bets on it.strangenova wrote:That's about what I figured. That last few words there, that's my problem with it... 'I wouldn't hedge my bets on it' and that is NO way to handle a digital account on a dedicated gaming device especially one on the go. Beg your case, hope they're cool with it, despite maybe sinking 100s or 1000s of dollars into downloads. It's a straight up gamble.
