Re: So the whole world is kind of falling apart...
Can I just say, I'm British and I'm sorry we voted leave. I and most of my friends and family voted remain.
We are absolutely devastated, shocked and scared for our future. I don't mean in a "we're all going to die, argh it's an apocalypse" kinda way. Just in a 'we're fearful for the direction our country will go in now' and 'we don't want economic uncertainty or another recession' kinda way.

Speaking of which, the breakdowns of the votes are quite interesting:

I suspect Scotland will split with the UK and join the EU. I think Britain will be OK in the long run, but I think they'd be better paired with the EU. The country is too powerful to simply curl up and die, but I do think their xenophobia will hurt them.

I really hope you guys are ok, if the situation feels bad form here, I can't imagine how it might be from the inside.Reprise wrote:Can I just say, I'm British and I'm sorry we voted leave. I and most of my friends and family voted remain.

Economists have been predicting a second recession for some time now and this might very well be what begins it. Let's hope we can battle the weather.

At least 28 dead and 60 wounded in a terror attack at the Istanbul Ataturk Airport.

Prayers for all the families and victims. It's so sad to lose one's life, but losing it to a terrorist attack while you're just trying to go about your business is just incredibly tragic.

This is the greatest article written about Brexit so far: Make the UK the 51st state!

Yes, it's a joke article.

It'd be funny if it did actually happen, though. Sort of a coming full circle thing.Ack wrote:This is the greatest article written about Brexit so far: Make the UK the 51st state!
