Just saw Kick Ass.

HOLY CRAP WHAT AN AWESOME MOVIE!!!

I figured it'd be good for some fun violent action but it is just an overall awesome movie. Not to mention it is good for some fun violent action.

And *SPOILER*

I'm also glad they didn't cop out and make red mist a hero at the end.

Saw a couple this week:

Kick Ass - More violent than I thought it would be. Is it just me or does it seem that the main plot for the sequel is just too obvious?

Percy Jackson & The Olympians: The Lightning Thief - Pretty good movie. Didn't notice that the main girl in it was the girl from the Yellow Book "Tiny Black Dress" commercial 'till partway through.

Watching this right now:

Image

The film follows the journey of a young man named Raj Sharma (Ranbir Kapoor) who met three girls at different stages of his life from age 18 to 30: Mahi (Minissha Lamba) - a small-town girl from Punjab, Radhika (Bipasha Basu) - a model in Mumbai and Gayatri (Deepika Padukone) - a Non Resident Indian taxi driver and student in Australia. The film is about a journey of a man who goes from one love affair to another, only to run into true love.

Just reached the intermission.

Side note: the main character works for Microsoft Game Studios, since 2002. First in Mumbai, then get transferred to Sydney. And one scene takes place at the Austrailian launch of Halo 3. And he gets shirtless enough to make Matthew McConaughey look bashfull. And he's played by a superior actor.

EDIT: Just finished the second half. Loved it. Yet another wonderful trip to the world of Bollywood cinema.

Found a trailer

Repo Man, it was pretty average, shame because the story could have been pretty awesome, reminded me a tiny bit of Polienauts.

Men who Stare at Goats - I laughed up until the end. They had a bit of a copout ending that up to it was a great film. So many bad Starwars jokes.

Hudsucker Proxy - I had not seen this since 94, it is a fun Tim Robbins/Coen Brothers comedy that kept making me think of Brazil. But it must have been because of all the model work.

Repo Men is a cheap knockoff of REPO! The Genetic Opera. Originally, Universal optioned REPO!, but wanted to do it as a non-musical. Bouseman and them declined and went to Lionsgate. Meanwhile, Universal made Repo Men (originally Reposession Mambo), which is basically what Universal wanted to do to REPO!.

Well... Karma's a bitch, cuz Repo Men tanked, despite having more advantages (i.e. higher budget, big stars, bigger advertising budget). And REPO! has a bigger, not to mention more devoted, fanbase.

I still wanna see Repo Men, just to see how much it sucks... but I don't wanna support it at all.

Gonna be checking out Kick Ass soon

Just finished Batman:Under the Red Hood. It's the best Batman since The Dark Knight with Heath Ledger.

It's dark, violent, great story, great action and great animation!

Great one for anyone who is a fan of the Batman:Animated Series and the other shows that shared that continuity. Even though all the DC animated movies they do now aren't part of the same contintuity, some of them feel like extensions of it, which is fantastic

For a while there I thought he was down on Repo Man with Elilio Estaves. I was wondering how anyone could not like that film.
